Robert Mitchum is Dead

Directed by Olivier Babinet & Fred Kihn

Olivier Babinet and Fred Kihn’s feature debut is a charmingly idiosyncratic road-movie, packed with palpable references and influences including Jim Jarmusch, David Lynch, Jean-Luc Godard, zombie movies, and rockabilly music. The story follows depressive Z-list actor Franky and his manager Arsene, as they set off in stolen car to travel to a mid-summer film festival in the Polar Circle. The objective is to track down the legendary director George Sarrineff and convince him of the bankability of their latest project.
