Rear Window

Directed by Alfred Hitchcock

L.B. Jeffries, a photographer with a broken leg, takes up the art of spying on his Greenwich Village neighbours during a summer heat wave. But things really hot up when he suspects one neighbour of murdering his invalid wife and burying the body in a flower garden. One of cinema’s finest observations of the act of looking, this is perhaps the best known adaptation of a work by prolific, somewhat underrated New York writer Cornell Woolrich.
