Kristen Stewart reunites with director Olivier Assayas (Clouds of Sils Maria) for this artful ghost story about a young woman, a personal shopper for a high-powered and high maintenance German model trying to reconnect with the spirit of her departed brother. Assayas evokes a sense of genuine mystery and otherworldliness in an intelligent riff on the ghost story genre that also manages to make insightful observations on the obsessions that drive us. Stewart, leaving her Twilight self far beyond, proves herself one of the most exciting actors of her generation.
