Pay What You Can/ Peterloo

Directed by Mike Leigh

Mike Leigh’s depiction of the infamous 1819 massacre at a peaceful pro-democracy rally at St Peter’s Field in Manchester has incredible relevance and significance in our turbulent times. A film that eloquently encapsulates the injustices suffered by the working classes, Peterloo features tremendous performances from Rory Kinnear and Maxine Peake, and the sublime cinematography of Dick Pope. Essential viewing.
