On The Waterfront (4K Restoration)

Marlon Brando gives one of his defining performances as Terry Malloy: a longshoreman who finds himself drawn into an increasingly bitter dispute with the New York City dockers’ Union. 

By turns searing and elegiac, On the Waterfront is a tragedy of American corruption, redemption and coulda-been contenders. Two years prior to its release, director Elia Kazan infamously testified against fellow filmmakers before the House Committee on Un-American Activities. On the Waterfront marked the beginning of the controversial next chapter in his career.
