This screening features five works caught up in dynamic tension between film and art. Most are political documentaries that deal with themes of representation and transnationality, like Aykan Safoglu’s Kirik Beyaz Laleler. The 2013 jury found this film worthy of the Grand Prize of the City of Oberhausen. Together, this programme provides an eclectic overview of the current state of artist film and video.
