Tamil filmmaker Vijay Jayapal’s follow up feature to his assured 2016 debut Revelations is a contemporary Indian Gothic that blurs the line between reality and the subconscious.
Taking cues from the work of Stephen King and Alfred Hitchcock, Jayapal uses supernatural tropes to delve into the psychological. Adil Hussain (Life of Pi, Hotel Salvation), one of Indian cinema’s busiest actors, is brilliant in the lead role.
