Sohee is a high school student at a vocational school in Jeonju, South Korea. Initially excited to land a prestigious placement at a major internet provider’s call centre, the prized role turns out to be a daily nightmare.
The call centre’s young workforce is pushed to reach impossible targets and paid only a fraction of a normal wage. The work is daunting even for a driven student like Sohee, whose mental health spirals, leading to an incident and a criminal investigation.
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
Event/ The 17:30 screening on Fri 21 Jun will be followed by a recorded Q&A with director July Jung and actor Bae Doona. This screening has no ads or trailers and starts at the advertised time.
