In this adaptation of William S. Burroughs’s hallucinatory, once-thought-unfilmable novel, Cronenberg follows a part-time exterminator and full-time drug addict named Bill Lee as he plunges into the nightmarish Interzone, a netherworld of sinister cabals and giant talking bugs.
