Moonstruck

Directed by Norman Jewison

Loretta Castorini is thirty-seven, widowed and stuck living with her parents in Brooklyn Heights. When Johnny Cammareri proposes to her, Loretta is presented with a second shot at married life – even if it doesn’t involve true love.

But the couple’s lukewarm engagement is thrown into doubt when Loretta meets Johnny’s estranged brother, Ronny – an intense, brooding baker with a love of opera – and sparks inevitably fly.

A classic wintertime romantic comedy with a big heart, and even bigger hair, Moonstruck boasts a note-perfect script and a great ensemble cast, led by Nicolas Cage and an Oscar-winning Cher.
