Directed by Julius Onah

In this eye-opening psychological drama, director Julius Onah skilfully scratches beneath the American Dream to probe the unseemly elements seething under its surface. The story of a white couple who adopt a young child from war-torn Eritrea, Luce is a complex and revealing film about trust, privilege, and the human need to categorise the world as we see it. The performances from Spencer, Watts, Roth and Harrison Jr. are terrific.
