The lives of two grandmothers become intertwined when their sons are involved in a street brawl and they are sucked into the labyrinth world of the Philippine legal system. This engaging drama shows their struggle to keep their dignity even in the most difficult of situations. Lola contains two award-winning performances from its central actors and was selected for the Venice Film Festival 2009.
