Five mates united by a passion to meet their hero Diego Maradona try and make it from the streets of London to the favelas of Buenos Aires. No cash, no help – just passion. The lads use their football freestyle skills to busk across countries where handouts don’t come easy, impressing the crowds to survive. It’s a journey that tests the limits of their friendship, talent and guts as they fight to meet their lifelong hero. Have they got the balls?
Reviews
“Apparently, to succeed at freestyle footballing, one needs flair, dedication and showmanship, and while some of the footballing group fail, the filmmakers themselves play a blinder.More than a film about kicky-uppies, this is a blinding doc full of flair and showmanship. ****” Will Lawrence, Empire

“[…] if ever there was a film that celebrated the joy of existence, the heady thrill of scaling a seemingly insurmountable challenge, it’s this shambling documentary.” Wendy Ide, The Times
“This is an enjoyable documentary with likeable characters and an engaging story. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll go out in the garden and try to bounce balls off your head. Worth seeing.” Matthew Turner, View London
