With his wife leaving him for a French billionaire and his agent firing him, Nate – once a promising playwright in New York City – has no other choice but crashing at his dad’s retirement home in New Jersey. It may be his very last resort, but it is among his father’s senior citizen friends that Nate finally manages to climb out of his midlife funk. Humour Me is a funny, heart-warming and candid account of the struggles of growing old (and older).
This screening will be preceded by the short film Wendy’s Shabbat (Dir Rachel Myers/US 2017/14 mins).
