Simon (Amalric) is a psychologist working in a German owned petrochemical firm in Paris who is assigned the undercover task of investigating the emotional state of the firm’s director. During the process, Simon uncovers troubling information that echoes back to WWII. Based on a book by François Emmanuel, this sharp drama challenges links between today’s corporate free market environment and the psychic threads commonly assigned to Europe’s darkest days.
