Françoise keeps on returning from France to Berlin to search for her daughter, abducted from a supermarket at the age of three. When she meets Nina, she believes she has found her. But Nina has fallen under the influence of another drifter, who unlike herself always goes straight for what she wants. These three women haunt the corners of Berlin.
