My Neighbour Totoro

Directed by Hayao Miyazaki

A classic tale of magic and adventure that has captivated audiences of every age for over 30 years, My Neighbour Totoro is perhaps the defining achievement of the legendary Studio Ghibli and Academy Award-winning director Hayao Miyazaki.

Sisters Satsuki and Mei move with their father to a new home in the countryside in order to be closer to the hospital where their mother is recovering from a long-term illness.

They soon discover that country life is not as simple as it seems after learning that the house and nearby woods are full of strange and delightful creatures, including a gigantic but gentle forest spirit called Totoro, who can only be seen by the children.

Totoro and his friends take the girls on a series of adventures, including a ride aboard the extraordinary Cat Bus, as they come to terms with their new life and the challenges facing their family.
