Family Film/ James and the Giant Peach

Directed by Henry Selik

This is the story of James Henry Trotter, a lonely orphan sent to live with his horribly wicked and greedy Aunts Spiker and Sponge.

When James meets a strange, old man who promises that wonderful things will happen, indeed they do. James escapes his aunts by climbing inside a giant peach that mysteriously and suddenly grows on their barren tree. Inside, he meets some very unusual new friends, and they break free from Spiker and Sponge – setting off on a series of wildly imaginative adventures.

Roald Dahl Story Day takes place on Fri 13 Sep – continue the celebration of the writer’s marvellous stories, characters and worlds with James and the Giant Peach at HOME on Sat 14 Sep.
