Eureka

EUREKA is an emotionally powerful and visually stunning exploration of loss, guilt and redemption. Following the violent hijacking of a bus there are only three survivors – the bus driver Makoto and a young brother and sister, Kosue and Naoki – whose lives are overturned by the experience. 2 years later, the driver is reunited with the isolated siblings. He tries to help them deal with their trauma but seems unable to deal with his own. And so, the three enter into a redemptive journey. Partly inspired by THE SEARCHERS, at over three hours, EUREKA is a meditative epic, but one that rewards with an almost transcendental experience.
