This charming comedy charts the budding romance between two pensioners living in a Madrid apartment block. Alfredo (Alexandre) is 70+, straight-laced, recently widowed and the new tenant. Elsa (Zorilla) is an elderly Argentinean widow with a cheeky streak. She also has a lifelong dream – to see Rome’s Trevi Fountain and re-enact the famous scene from Fellini’s LA DOLCE VITA. Will un-adventurous Fred be the one to make her dream come true? Alexandre was nominated for a Best Actor Goya.
