When Yvan (Lanners), an overweight and unkempt car dealer, arrives home one night to discover young burglar Elie (Adde) in his house. Instead of calling the police Yvan soon finds himself consoling Elie, who says he only needed the money to make his way home to see his mother (Chichéry). Still grieving over the death by overdose of his younger brother, Yvan knows a drug addict when he sees one, and ends up offering to drive the intruder across Belgium to visit his mother – and so begins their bizarre and eventful road trip.
