Based on the novel by Diana Wynne Jones (Howl’s Moving Castle), the film tells the tale of Earwig, a young orphan girl in 1990s England who grew up in an orphanage without knowing that she is a witch’s daughter.
Directed by Goro Miyazaki, the son of Ghibli studio co-founder Hayao Miyazaki, the film utilises Pixar-style 3D animation techniques.
