For our cult screening this June we’ll have special double-bill screening of absurdist comedy sci-fi/horrors for you with a special preview of Quentin Dupieux’s new film Smoking Causes Coughing and one of his previous films Deerskin. There will be a short 10-minute intermission between these films.

With the relationship with his wife in tatters, Georges (Jean Dujardin) retreats to a remote town where he purchases the deerskin jacket of his dreams. However, his ever-closer relationship with his deerskin jacket starts to take him down a darker path which he begins to document on a video camera. Laugh out loud funny and with a cast that also includes Adèle Haenel, the outstanding film from Quentin Dupieux has Killer Style.

Incredible but true, yet another quirky absurdist comedy sci-fi fantasy from visionary director Quentin Dupieux. The Tobacco Force is a superhero quintet fighting evil by using cigarette cancer-causing substances as their weapon of choice. But their super rat Chief Didier has noticed friction in the team. Since there’s an upcoming battle against evil conqueror Lezardin on the horizon, Didier sends them to a lake retreat for a team-building holiday where they tell each other scary campfire tales. Will they form a cohesive unit again in time for the final epic face-off?
