Octavio is a union activist searching for documents that prove governmental corruption. Pursued by the law, he encounters an old university comrade, Julieta, who hides him. Her husband is another old friend, now an embittered bureaucrat. After she commits a crime to save the papers, Julieta must decide where her loyalties really lie.
Figueroa’s use of shadow and angles expresses beautifully the complex emotional and political conflicts of the film’s characters.
