Eleven-year-old Daud, the son of a religious Imam in Brooklyn, is inadvertently mistaken for a Jewish boy. After befriending a group of Jewish boys his age, he becomes conflicted and the longer he plays out his double life, the more he risks driving a wedge in his family. This award-winning film explores boundaries of faith and trust in New York’s multi-cultural backdrop and draws upon the feelings of isolation and difference Daud feels – even from his peers in the Muslim community.
