Moisturizing is an interactive film that explores how we find time to take care of ourselves, and the ways that this time is taken by others.
Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley is a London and Berlin-based Black trans artist, game developer and mother. Through video game aesthetics and technologies, Brathwaite-Shirley aims to bring to the forefront the experiences of Black trans women and, more generally, to archive the Black trans experience: those living, those that have passed, and those that have been forgotten. They use technology to imagine Black trans lives in environments that centre their bodies.
