Artists’ films by Annika Eriksson, Andrea Fraser and Sharon Hayes
This screening includes three works that explore how power is formed within cultural institutions. They investigate who holds the power, how such power is generated and who has the power to speak for the institution. The term ‘institution’ is used here to describe a particular concentration of power. All the works shown hold a mirror to cultural institutions, reflecting their image and attempting to affect change. This screening includes three important works by artists showing internationally, Annika Eriksson (Sweden), Andrea Fraser (USA) and Sharon Hayes (USA).
