With a nod to his excellent MONSIEUR HIRE (1987), Leconte works again with Bonnaire for this intimate thriller of obsession, identity, and desire. Anna (Bonnaire) enters a room to confess her marital problems to a therapist. But the man on the other side of the table is William Faber (Luchini), a financial advisor. Moved by her distress and excited by her presence he cannot reveal her mistake. So begins a weekly encounter where deepest confidences are exchanged and a strange relationship develops. Bonnaire and Luchini give the performances of their career in this cinematic, slow-burning and seductive story.
