Every year we like to put something on for those of you who fancy a trip to the cinema on Valentine’s Day so this year we left the choice to our Facebook and website users. The votes have been counted and we can now confirm that classic romantic tale CHARADE was the winning choice.

FILM SYNOPSIS
Cited as the best Hitchcock movie Hitchcock never made, Hollywood stars Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn sparkle with undeniable charisma and chemistry in this scintillating romantic comedy with excellent support from actors Walter Matthau and James Cobern. Sheltered widow Regina Lambert (Hepburn) is terrorised by sinister cronies of her late husband, whose criminal past is revealed by the CIA following his death. Peter Joshua (Grant), a friend from her recent holiday in Switzerland, offers to help Regina clear her husband’s debts with those her husband double-crossed. An elaborate charade soon ensues with terrific action sequences including a sprawling fight scene that ends on a hotel roof and a riveting climactic showdown. The film’s real climax though is the final scene which makes for perfect Valentine’s viewing!
