Founded by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Norman Jewison, the Canadian Film Centre provides world-class training and production for emerging Canadian film directors, writers, producers and editors, as well as television writers and new media professionals. Celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2003, the Film Centre has produced more than 110 short films and 12 feature films that have screened at international festivals and won hundreds of awards. In 2001, the Film Centre also launched the Worldwide Short Film Festival that screens hundreds of the best Canadian and international shorts from around the world.
