Abandon Normal Devices are bringing a live AV screening of Lorem’s Distrust Everything to the UK on Wednesday 19 April as part of New Cinema Days.
Distrust Everything is a performative, immersive, AV installation with a plot completely generated by AI and a soundscape created by Acre.
What happens when ruptures briefly reveal what is behind the veil of our reality? Will we know the difference between dreams and reality?
The interactive work explores the relationship between fiction and truth in the age of artificial intelligence, through an aesthetic experience that challenges our perception of inner and outer landscapes.
New Cinema Days (NCD) is a new initiative from Abandon Normal Devices, produced in partnership with the School of Digital Arts (SODA) at Manchester Metropolitan University and HOME in Manchester UK. New Cinema Days is supported with public funds from Film Hub North, BFI National Lottery funding, We are UK Film and Arts Council England.
