After Blue (Dirty Paradise)

After Blue, the second feature from French director Bertrand Mandico is a wild ride. A gender fluid acid western – in space (!) with nods to Barbarella, Alejandro Jodorowsky’s El Topo and the wide brimmed stylings of Meiko Kaji. On After Blue, a planet of psychedelic skies and landscapes where only women can survive, a woman and her teenage daughter are made to hunt a notorious killer – Katerina Buszowska – “Kate Bush”!
