Join us for a special film screening celebrating Black History Month and this year’s theme of Celebrating our Sisters.

HOME’s Black History Month producers put together a range of film choices celebrating Black women and the crucial role they have played in the film industry, whether that be behind the camera, on screen or through the stories being told.

Women’s groups across Manchester voted from five film choices, overwhelmingly selecting Harriet to be screened at HOME as part of Black History Month.

Cynthia Erivo stars in Kasi Lemmons’ inspiring biopic about renowned abolitionist Harriet Tubman, who escaped slavery and risked her life to lead others to freedom through the network of safehouses known as the Underground Railroad, becoming one of America’s greatest heroes.
