A Brief History of Who

To celebrate the arrival of a bold, ambitious relaunch of Doctor Who (masterminded by Manchester scribe Russell T. Davies and starring Salford’s own Christopher Eccleston), catch our crash-course primer to the series’ classic original run. An Unearthly Child (BBC, tx 23.11.63) is the episode that started it all; the controversial Deadly Assassin, Part 3 (tx 13.11.76) is a trippy Tom Baker gem, and Survival Part 3 (tx 6.12.89) marked the last instalment of the ever-evolving show – until now. This event will be introduced by David Butler, Film Studies Lecturer at Manchester University and Editor of the forthcoming Doctor Who reader from Manchester University Press.
