Salazar’s eagerly awaited follow-up to PIEDRAS is a bright and brash musical that deals with darker themes. It’s the story of the narcoleptic Marieta (Salazar regular Cevera) who works as a prostitute and dreams of losing the unique 20 centimetre reminder of the maleness she struggles to rid herself of. The wonderful cast (including Najwa Nimri and Rossy de Palma) deliver the musical numbers with great panache as pop standards from Spain and the States are turned into quirky and queer extravaganzas that’ll have you dancing down Deansgate!
20 CENTíMETROS will be released on DVD this summer.
