Inspired by an actual jewellery shop robbery in 1950s Madrid, this tragi-comic slice of cine noir pays homage to both classic Hollywood cinema and Mario Monicelli’s acclaimed 1958 Italian crime caper I soliti ignoti. A fiercely loyal Argentine Peronist plans to fund his beloved leader’s life in exile by pawning the late Evita’s jewels in Spain. When they risk falling into the hands of the wife of General Franco a desperate rescue mission is launched, but are the rescuers up to the job?
