Music on a Chink of Light: The Jazz Photography of William Ellis

William Ellis is at the vanguard of music photographers and is widely recognised as having created an important document of the contemporary jazz scene in Africa, Europe and The Americas.

His archive goes back over 20 years and his contribution to culture has been recognised by the American Jazz Museum, who invited him to produce their Inaugural International Exhibition in 2005. Ellis continues shooting front of house and backstage at the world’s legendary clubs and festivals.
