Everyone’s an artist
Submissions for the Manchester Open Exhibition have now closed! Thank you to everyone who has submitted art for the next edition of the Manchester Open, which will be held in our galleries in 2022.
The first Manchester Open was the most successful exhibition in HOME’s history and saw over 33,000 visitors enjoying 543 artworks by 451 artists. It was the first region-wide exhibition of its type to welcome entries from people of any background and level of experience, including established professionals, new and emerging talent, enthusiastic amateurs and first-time artists.
We have accepted artwork in all disciplines including paintings, prints, photography, sound art, sculpture, digital and mixed media, video and audio, spoken word, performance and more.
The call for submissions was open to everyone in Greater Manchester, including those who may already identify as artists and those who might not. At HOME, we believe that everyone’s an artist and this is your opportunity to be part of our major-open submission show.
Whether you’re new to art or an enthusiastic amateur who is seeking inspiration and guidance, an emerging artist developing their practice, or an established professional, we’ve got you covered.
We are sending out emails with HOME-approved personalised tools and tips, recommended events and exhibitions, creative prompts, exclusive interviews and Make Packs created by Manchester-based organisations and artist studios.
