In todays’ DYI filmmaking scene, it is not uncommon for one person to be both the writer, director and producer of a short film. However, having separate director and producer working together on a project can help taking it to a new, and better, level.
In this talk Dana Bruce will explore how producers and directors work together, go through all the practical details you should think of when developing a film – from inception idea to the shoot itself, but also for its life after the final edit has been completed. Expect plenty of tips to take away to make your film production run smoothly.
This talk is especially relevant for
- any creatives who are contemplating making a film on their own and need a reminder of all the aspects they need to think about;
- film producers and filmmakers who would like to understand the role of a producer better to shape future collaborations.
- aspiring film producers.
