Old Trafford Afro Child, DJ, and Musician, Katbrownsugar has been making waves with her future-sounds in Manchester and beyond over the past year; From winning two mixcloud awards for Rising Star 2018 and best hip-hop/RnB/afro-beats show, too being finalised by The Black Madonna for the Smirnoff Equaliser campaign, the northern neo-soulstress is paving her own path on the DJ scene.
Finding time in between crafting new mixes and residences at NTS, MCR Live and Unity FM; KBS has explored musical collaborations in her own city, whilst her latest EP ‘PINK TREES THE DELUXE EDITION’ showcases her RnB, Neo-soul infused future sounds plus dance remixes from Metrodome & Chimpo – the soul selector continues to flaunt her talent as a songwriter and tastemaker.
Already buzzing on the live circuit with shows at Outlook Festival(Croatia) , Manchester Museum and support slots for the likes of OSHUN, Ezra Collective & JAH9 under her belt, the English-Jamaican musician has also made waves in the fashion world securing a recent campaign for Nike with Footasylum, and is ready to continue building the Katbrownsugar empire into 2019.
