Visible Secrets In Conversation is a unique FREE event that brings together the filmmakers and curators behind this season in an open discussion. Acclaimed screenwriter and director Ivy Ho will give her unique perspective of a long career in the Hong Kong film industry, contrasting with newcomer Tsang Tsui Shan who has just made her first, independent feature. Teresa Kwong director of the Hong Kong Independent Film & Video Awards has helped shaped many careers and has a reputation for talent spotting, whilst Ying Kwok from Manchester Chinese Arts Centre discusses opportunities outside of Hong Kong and China. Co-curators of Visible Secrets Sarah Perks (Cornerhouse), and Andy Willis (University of Salford) will chair the session and reflect upon their experiences researching the season.
