UK Disability History Month

This season is part of a programme of events in December to mark UK Disability History Month 2015, delivered in partnership with Manchester City Council based on the theme Portrayal of Disability: Then and Now.

Our inaugural disability film season includes a selection of disability related films and a panel discussion to help audiences debate and consider the way disability and disabled people have been portrayed on film past and present.

This season, including film selection and panel design, has been created by Manchester City Council’s Disabled Staff Group; Mark Birchall, Liz Avison, Paul Mittler, David Short, Lorraine Ward and Lorna Young.
