Kurt Johannessen has been making performances for over 20 years, building a repertoire of works that link and investigate human existence. Often using natural materials like seeds and feathers, his work avoids pomp and cliché. He has made a large number of artists’ books and exhibited and performed extensively across Europe and in the UK, at the South London Gallery, the V&A and the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford.
