After being the Town Artist of Glenrothes in Fife and teaching at Dartington in the 1970s and early 80s, David Harding founded the Environmental Art programme at Glasgow School of Art in 1985. He taught the course for over fifteen years and is widely credited with its outstanding international acclaim. He has written numerous articles and remains an influential commentator on public art.
