To celebrate the launch of La Movida, Traffic Manchester takeover the Fiesta stage. Begin with a salsa workshop and work your way through punk flamenco then feminist punk before Traffic welcome you to a mystical rave and full moon shamanic psytrance experience. Come along and try a variety of Spanish and Latin moves to the sounds of salsa beats. No experience necessary.
18.00-19-00: Omar Sohawon Flemenco guitar
One half of Diablo Due gives pop and punk classics some flamenco flare through the sound of the six string guitar.
19.30-20.30: ILL
In the spirit of La Movida we have Manchester resident feminist punk band ILL, a genre-evading band who believe in the power of disobedient noise. These Feminist post-punk noise makers present a stomping dance set full of fun and puns.
20.30-22.30 Traffic Raveover
In the spirit of Transition, Manchester’s ‘Traffic’ welcome you to a mystical rave and full moon shamanic ritual. An opportunity to transcend mundanity to the rhythms of psychedelic trance in a magical space. La Movida (the movement) is here. Come, adorn and move your body and let’s transcend states, perceptions, ourselves. Allow your mind to transition to the next level of vibration and dance the night out under the light of the moon.
