Tim Burton is one of the great modern-day visionaries of cinema, a director who has fabricated his own deliciously nightmarish universe in movies. Acclaimed for his use of stop-motion animation techniques and work with Henry Selick, Burton is also to be admired for his ability to treat younger viewers with dignity and respect, whilst scaring them senseless. Enjoy this mini season of Christmas treats!
