We have a real mix of styles Spanish styles and sounds, aptly topped of with four-piece and tour-de-fore Mestisa, whose haunting melodies will move you to distraction. Plus, get involved with the & Salsa De Cuba dancers.

This 16 year old Manchester native shares the sounds of flemenco’s most traditional and contemporary hits.
20.30-21.30: DJ Mayeva & Salsa De Cuba
Manchester–based DJ Mayeva is of Peruvian-Spanish and Norwegian-Irish origin. She has been performing at world music events and festivals since 2006. She has appeared at We Face Forward, Exodus Live, FEAST, and Cultural Collage World Music Festival in Manchester and is a regular DJ at Africa Oye in Liverpool. She has also hosted world music stages at Croydon Summer Music Festival, Eurocultured and Harewood Hall in Leeds. Mayeva will be bringing the best sounds of Spanish and Latino music to HOME for the festival. She has run a monthly world music and cultural magazine programme on ALL FM 96.9 Community Radio in Manchester for the last 11 years.
21.30-22.30: Mestisa
Mestisa are a four-piece performing traditional and popular songs from Latin America. Their haunting sound and powerful melodies have graced the stages of Beverley and Filey Folk Festivals, Leeds Flamenco Festival, Kendal Calling, Musicport and Chapel Allerton Arts Festivals as well as regularly taking part in the international concert season at Leeds University’s clothworker Hall. Powerful and strong, their sound is guaranteed to move you.
