Film – The C.R.U.M.P.I.T.

The first LiveWire Film Camp took place in August 2006. For one week, 16 young people went to Borwick Hall in Carnforth with a team of professional filmmakers. July 2007 saw the second LiveWire Film Camp, which took place at Lanehead in Coniston and thanks to funding from Mediabox, 23 young people were able to take part! The young filmmakers had complete ownership of the film and they were involved in the entire filmmaking process. They came up with ambitious ideas, shooting scenes using underwater camera equipment and using film cult classics as inspiration.

The theme for the week was sci-fi and two fantastic and very different films were made. The C.R.U.M.P.I.T. won an online award for Best Comedy on the Electric December website.

This film is a tongue-in-cheek, science fiction parody about a plague that wipes out all women. Two men from the year 2050 return to the present day to find a woman to restore the population of the future.
