This talk presents a selection of films from Latin America produced between 2004 and 2014, showing how they are landmark cultural productions, including works by Lucrecia Martel, Lucía Puenzo, Pablo Larraín, and Carlos Reygadas, Walter Salles, Diego Quemada Díez, and Juan José Campanella. Art, politics, entertainment and commerce combine to prove there is a place for Latin American film in the competitive spaces of international cinema.
