Aaron Dunleavy is a filmmaker from Blackburn, whose award-winning short films explore stories of working-class youth. His latest work, Alfie, The Odd-Job Boy of Clitheroe was produced for BBC Three’s short documentary strand Give Me A Voice.
In this talk Aaron will share his experience and learning so far, including how to get the best of your film’s protagonists, the differences between working on your own projects and on commissions, and technical advice such as the best way to capture sound.
Expect a highly entertaining evening as well as plenty of tips and time for questions.
